Exchange meeting between BIPIA and the Canadian Embassy

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 2:30 p.m., a delegation from the Ivorian Bureau for the Promotion of African Integration (BIPIA) visited the headquarters of the Canadian embassy in Plateau. The delegation, led by Mr. Yeo, Head of the Promotion and Communication Department, was accompanied by Ms. Dago, Heritage Manager, and Ms. Koné, Head of Communication and Documentation Service,were received by Mr. Christian Gour, Political Advisor, and Hawa Ouattara-Koffi, Political and Public Affairs Program Officer.
Discussions focused on the search for documentary holdings for the Library of Integration. Following the discussions, it was found that the Canadian side expressed a strong interest in the project and a willingness to support the initiative.
In particular, the Canadian Embassy proposes to act as an intermediary for establishing partnership relations between the Integration Library and universities and Canadian libraries.
During this meeting, Mr. Yeo not only presented the Integration Library project but also discussed other BIPIA initiatives such as the Integration Clubs, the On-Demand Training and the Integration Master. The Canadian delegation also showed a keen interest in these projects, paving the way for future collaborations.
