BIPIA MEETS WITH THE MALIAN COMMUNITY IN IVORY COAST
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, a team from the Ivorian Bureau for the Promotion of African Integration (BIPIA), including Ms. TRAORE Solange, from the Marketing and Promotion Department, Mr. OULAÏ Narcisse, Head of the Strategic Monitoring and Alert Service, Mr. YOBOUE Jean-MichelBaptiste, Head of the Community Listening Service and Mr COULIBALY Souleymane, Head of the Studies and Project Design Department, was received by Mr Moulaye HAIDARA, President of the High Council of Malians in Côte d’Ivoire, at his office located on the Plateau, at the Mali Building,  from 3:26 to 5:30.

He was assisted by Mr Ibrahim DAOU, First Vice-President, Mr MAÏGA SELOU, Secretary General, Mr HAIDARA ALKASSIM, Special Adviser and Mr BAH AMADOU, Treasurer.

This meeting had 4 items on the menu:
1. Exchange on the content of the Mali Country Fiche in the context of the development of the "Mapping of Communities" and retrieve the legal documents of the creation of the Community;
2. To bring the project for production and marketing of the ''Pagne de l'Intégration Africaine' to the attention of the authorities of the Malian community and to help them fill in the survey form;
3. Identify information on the model for the integration of Malian nationals in Côte d'Ivoire.
Regarding the first point, the country fiche was reviewed by all participants in order to harmonise its content. As for legal documents, the President promised to send them all on Thursday, September 19, 2024

For the second, concerning the information of the Communities' survey form on the ''Pageant of African Integration', the President welcomed and congratulated this fine initiative that will contribute further to the consolidation and promotion of African Integration.  
He also affirmed his commitment to the project and his commitment to support BIPIA. However, he deferred the Community’s position on the question of the cost of the loincloth, the aid for distribution and the quantity of the order. 
He subsequently made proposals to BIPIA for the success of the project, including the production of loincloth samples for the Communities to facilitate internal exchanges with all members on decision-making in this regard.

As for the third point, concerning the model of integration of Malian nationals in Côte d'Ivoire,  the President gave extensive information on the history and method of reception and insertion of Malians in Côte d'Ivoire.
