Revitalization of African Integration Clubs: BIPIA Meets with the Directorate of School Life

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, an important meeting was held at the headquarters of the Directorate of School Life (DVS) of the Ministry of National Education and Literacy (MENA) in Abidjan Plateau, to relaunch the project "Creation and Animation of African Integration Clubs."

During the meeting, Mr. YEO Lassina, Head of the Promotion and Communication Department, and Mr. KONAN Guillaume, Head of the Partnership and Support to Integration Actors Service at BIPIA, were received by Mr. GBOKO Kouakou Adjoumani, Director of the DVS, assisted by Mr. FOSSOU François, Deputy Director in charge of socio-educational activities, and Mrs. KOUAGNI Stella, Communication Officer. They presented the project to create African integration clubs in Ivorian schools.

After a brief presentation of BIPIA and its activities, Mr. YEO emphasized the significance of the integration clubs. Highlighting the need to build the citizens of tomorrow with values of peace, social cohesion, and harmonious living, the African integration clubs serve as a tool for educating and raising awareness among students about the concept of integration. He thus requested collaboration between the two entities to successfully carry out this project.

The Director of DVS congratulated BIPIA on this project, which he deemed very important. Following him, the Deputy Director also emphasized the importance of the project and proposed the creation of a joint BIPIA-DVS working committee to refine the implementation strategy.

This committee is set to meet on Tuesday, October 1, at the DVS
