This Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the Tiama Hotel hosted an important workshop on the theme "Integration Policies: Tools for the Development of Côte d'Ivoire." Organized by the Directorate General of Integration Policies (DGPI), this workshop aimed to promote initiatives undertaken to strengthen regional integration, a key factor in the socio-economic development of the country.
A delegation from the Ivorian Office for the Promotion of African Integration (BIPIA), led by its Director, Dr. Moussa MAMA, accompanied by Mr. Missa SORO, Head of the Projects Department, also took part in this event. Their presence demonstrated BIPIA's active role in regional integration initiatives.
The session began with a welcome speech from the Director General of DGPI, Prof. OUATTARA Katiénéffooua Adama, followed by an address from Mrs. COULIBALY Karidjatou, Technical Advisor to the Minister Delegate for African Integration and Ivorians Abroad. Mrs. COULIBALY reaffirmed Côte d'Ivoire's unwavering commitment to the cause of regional integration before officially declaring the workshop open.
The workshop continued with four presentations led by officials from various central departments of the DGPI and the Director of BIPIA. These presentations highlighted the key issues and policies to accelerate regional integration, followed by enriching discussions that addressed participants' questions and concerns.
This event brought together various stakeholders, including international organizations, technical and financial partners, as well as representatives from technical ministries. Their presence underscores the importance of integration policies for the sustainable development of Côte d'Ivoire and the sub-region.
